I finally moved my desk away from the wall and my neck pain vanished in 4 days
Everyone posts these perfect setups pushed flat against drywall, but turning mine 90 degrees so I face the window in my Chicago apartment fixed months of stiffness that a $200 chair never touched. Has anyone else found that where your desk sits matters more than what is on it?
So your neck got better just because you turned a desk and not because of anything else going on that week? That sounds like a coincidence you are dressing up as a fix. Four days is nothing, and neck pain comes and goes on its own all the time. Maybe you finally stopped hunching to see around a glare, or you just happened to sleep better those nights. The chair could still be the real issue and you would never know, since you changed one thing and called it the answer. People move furniture all the time and feel fine, and plenty face a window with a desk jammed against the wall behind them and still hurt.
