Moving my desk away from the wall fixed my messy cable pile
I had a rat's nest of cords behind my desk for months and nothing I did helped, until I pulled the whole thing out about 8 inches from the wall (just enough to walk behind it) and hung everything on a cheap $12 rail I screwed into the drywall. Now I can actually see what plugs into what, and cleaning under there takes two minutes instead of an hour. Anyone else leave a gap behind their desk on purpose, or does it bug you having it float like that?
