My $12 thrift store lamp arm fixed my neck pain in 2 days

Last month I grabbed this ugly brass desk lamp from a Goodwill in Portland for $12 and bent the arm so it points right at my keyboard instead of the screen. My neck stopped craning forward after like 48 hours, no more tight shoulders by 3 PM. Anyone else tried repositioning light instead of buying a whole new monitor stand?

Ditch the lamp, fix your posture. If you're craning your neck, that's a muscle and spine problem, not a lighting problem. A $12 lamp is just a bandaid, you're treating the symptom, not the cause. You're gonna get the same tight shoulders back the second you sit at a different desk or in a crappy chair. Spend that money on a cheap posture trainer or even just do some neck stretches at lunch, that'll last longer than a bent brass arm. Selling this as a real fix is just gonna have people relocating their pain, not curing it.
