My monitor was 2 inches too low and I fixed it with a paperback book
I kept getting this nagging neck pain after 3 months at my new standing desk, and I finally realized my monitor was sitting just a hair below eye level. Grabbed an old copy of 'The Stand' from my shelf and propped the monitor up on it, and the pain went away in two days. Has anyone else used random stuff around the house to fix their ergonomics?

Dude the Stand is a thick book, perfect for that. I used a stack of old gaming magazines under mine for like 6 months before I got an actual arm mount. Works just as good honestly.

Those old gaming magazines are perfect for that because they're all the same thickness. I used a couple of old textbooks from college for a while before I broke down and bought a monitor riser.
