Spent $40 on a monitor riser with drawers and now my desk is actually usable

I finally caved and bought one of those wooden monitor riser shelves with two little drawers built in. Cost me about $40 on sale, I was sick of my keyboard sliding under the monitor base and losing pens in the clutter. Now my mousepad actually lays flat and the drawers hold all my sticky notes and charging cables. Anyone else found that one cheap add-on that totally fixed your desk chaos?

$40 for a little wooden shelf with drawers sounds like a steal compared to the fancy $100 ones I see online. Bet it feels good to actually see your desk surface again without digging through a pile of cables. Gotta admit, I'm kind of jealous of your organized life now.

Absolutely agree with you @josephmartin, I grabbed a similar little organizer at a flea market last month for around the same price and it cleaned up my whole corner of the room. It's amazing how something so simple can make you feel like you've got your act together.
