Am I the only one who just realized how much sugar is in store-bought pasta sauce?
I was looking at a jar of marinara I grabbed last week at the store near my house. The label said 12 grams of sugar per serving. That is almost as much as a cookie. I had no idea they packed that much sweetener into something that should just be tomatoes and herbs. Has anyone else swapped to making their own sauce? I need a quick recipe that doesn't take all day.

Oh man, the sugar in those jars is insane, right? I had a similar shock when I saw 10 grams in a "healthy" brand. @milesbailey nailed it, it's sneaking into everything like salad dressings and even some chicken stocks. Have to be a label detective now.
