Had a near disaster swapping sour cream for yogurt in a cheesecake at a potluck last Saturday
I was at this neighborhood gathering and nobody told me Greek yogurt has way more whey than sour cream, so my cheesecake came out soupy and I had to pretend it was a newfangled dessert style, has anyone else had a baking fail from a swap they trusted too much?

12 eggs and a half gallon of whey later I'm still finding excuses for why my "fluid cheesecake" was actually an intentional custard situation. Next time I'll just bring chips and dip like a normal person instead of trying to be a baking influencer.

Oh man, that's rough... Greek yogurt really is a sneaky beast in baking. Sounds like you ended up with a cheesecake soup, which is either a disaster or a new trendy dessert depending on how you spin it. At least you can claim you were ahead of the curve on the whole deconstructed dessert thing.

Welp... Greek yogurt's a total wildcard in baking. Better to own the "soupy cheesecake pudding" look than admit defeat.
