Milk substitute panic at 7am, oat milk saved my pancakes

Ran out of regular milk last Tuesday right when I had pancake batter half mixed. My kid was already crying at the table so I grabbed the oat milk my wife uses for coffee, figured worst case we order cereal. They came out fluffier than usual and honestly nobody noticed the swap at all. Anyone else accidentally discovered a good substitute in a morning rush?
