My dried bean shortcut turned into soup stock by accident
I soaked a big batch of pintos Tuesday for chili, got distracted and dumped the soak water plus a stray onion and celery stalk into a pot, and somehow that murky liquid made the best broth I've ever tasted... anyone else ever accidentally make stock from bean soaking water?
