My expensive almond flour purchase went bad in 3 weeks

Spent $14 on a bag of organic almond flour at the co-op and found mold in it before I even opened it halfway, anyone else stick to smaller bags now?

Oh man, that's rough! I've actually started freezing my almond flour as soon as I get it home (keeps it way fresher, especially in humid weather).

Is it just me or does it feel like everything in packaging is getting worse? I had the same thing happen with a bag of almond meal from the store, and it made me wonder if the warehouses aren't keeping things cool enough anymore. @olivia398 you're smart to freeze it, that's probably the only way to beat the humidity creepin' in from the factory to your pantry. Seems like companies are cutting corners on storage or using thinner bags that let air through way faster than they used to. I've noticed this with nuts too, they go rancid so quick now it's hard to keep up. Feels like we're all paying more for stuff that goes bad before we can even use it.
