Hit 100 hours in Stardew and realized I never once used the combat caves
I checked my save file yesterday and I'm at 103 hours in Stardew Valley. The weird part is I've ignored the mines almost the whole time. My farm is just crops, animals, and a lot of fishing. I kept feeling like I was playing wrong because every guide talks about getting to level 100 of the mines for iridium. Then I hit 10 million gold just from aged wine and pale ale, no combat needed. It took me about 2 in game years but I got the gold clock and everything. Has anyone else just skipped the fighting parts of these games entirely?
I did the same thing my first save. My whole thing was cranberry and blueberry fields with a bunch of kegs, and I just never bothered going past like level 20 in the mines. The money was so easy that the caves felt pointless. I think people forget the game gives you a ton of ways to make cash, and farming plus processing is one of the best ones. You don't need iridium ore to get rich, you just need patience and a good layout. Combat is honestly the weakest part of the game for me too.
