I finally dropped my island in Animal Crossing after 6 months and it took me half an hour to figure out why it looked off
So I had my whole island laid out for months, right? Paths going one way, flowers in neat rows, everything matching. Then last Tuesday I finally moved it to a new spot near the airport because the old one felt hidden. And wow, the new spot made the old one look terrible. The old place had a cliff behind it that cut off all the light, and the ground was that dark dirt tile that makes everything look muddy. Plus the museum was right next door, so the building shadow covered half the display. New spot is on flat grass with nothing behind it, and the same exact items suddenly look bright and cute. I sat there for 20 minutes just staring at it feeling dumb. All those times I thought my items were the problem, it was the ground and the cliff the whole time. Did anyone else learn this the hard way, or am I the only one who decorates blind?
