I watched a kid in line at the retro arcade in Dayton pick a farming sim over the light gun game
I was at a little retro arcade in Dayton on Saturday and the kid in front of me, maybe 9 years old, passed up the shoot em up cabinet and picked the old Harvest Moon machine in the corner. I stood there watching him water crops for like 15 minutes while his dad played the light gun game alone next to him. Do kids just want the calm stuff now, or was this one kid just tired from a birthday party?
Water crops for like 15 minutes" could just be one kid who likes farm stuff, not some big sign that kids only want calm games now. My nephew plays both shooters and Animal Crossing and picks whatever he's in the mood for. One kid at one arcade in Dayton doesn't tell us much.
