My automated farm design made me feel like a robot, so I trashed it
Last month I spent 12 hours setting up an elaborate sprinkler and crop grid in Stardew Valley, the kind with iridium sprinklers and junimo huts. It ran perfectly for two weeks, but I caught myself just standing there watching the clock instead of actually playing. I realized I had optimized all the joy out of the game, so I ripped it all out and went back to hand watering with a basic hoe. Now my farm is a chaotic mess of random plots and fruit trees, and honestly it's way more fun to wake up and decide what feels right that day. Does anyone else ever gut their perfect setup just to feel the grind again, or am I the only one who gets bored with efficiency? What's the most over-planned thing you've done in a cozy game that you later regretted?
