My grandma told me I was playing Stardew Valley wrong and it kinda made sense

I was visiting my grandma in Ohio last weekend and she saw me planting parsnips like crazy in Stardew. She said 'youre rushing through everything like you do in real life, maybe try just walking around and looking at the trees for a day'. I sat on a virtual bench for like 10 minutes just watching the rain and honestly it felt more relaxing than the whole game before that. Has anyone else had a non-gamer totally change how you play a cozy game?

48 parsnips in one season is my minimum, grandma doesn't understand the grind.

Tbh I'd rather grow 10 good ones than 48 mediocre parsnips honestly.

Used to think quality over quantity was the way to go, but @murphy.abby here actually got me rethinking that. I mean, 48 parsnips is a solid number and if you're growing that many you're probably doing something right. Plus you can always pick the best ones for eating and turn the rest into stock or compost. Sometimes the grind is just about keeping the garden going and feeding the soil, not about having a perfect harvest. I'm starting to see the value in just putting stuff in the ground and letting it happen.
