My sister told me my Animal Crossing island looked "chaotic" and I was so offended at first

She came over to visit my island in New Horizons and said my flower placement made everything feel cluttered and stressful. I spent like 2 hours that night just staring at my screen feeling defensive! But then I actually looked at some screenshots she took and wow she was right lol. I had 47 different flower types scattered everywhere with no rhyme or reason. Now I group them by color and leave walking paths between each patch and it honestly feels way more relaxing to play. Has anyone else had a friend give you harsh but helpful feedback about your cozy game setup?

That's actually funny because I kind of like the chaotic look. Your sister might be right about the gameplay but I think a cluttered island has its own charm. Real nature isn't perfectly organized either with everything in neat rows. You get surprised by flowers you forgot you planted and it feels more alive that way. I've seen screenshots of those super organized islands and they look sterile to me like a museum. Different strokes I guess but I'll take the chaos every time.

Yeah "super organized islands look sterile" that's exactly what I keep thinking when I see those perfect layouts everyone posts online. I tried the neat rows thing for a week and it felt like my island had no soul just flower grocery store aisles with no surprises. @casey_wood2 you're right the chaotic look has its own feel and honestly finding random pink tulips you forgot about is way more fun than planning every petal.
