PSA: That $15 custom island I bought for my villager turned out to be a total waste

I spent 15 real dollars on a custom designed Animal Crossing island layout from an Etsy shop last month, thinking it would save me time rebuilding my whole town. But when I loaded it up, the paths didn't match my style at all and I ended up redoing everything anyway. Has anyone else ever bought a digital download for a cozy game and regretted it, or did I just pick the wrong one?

That shortcut never works out like we hope. Reminds me of buying pre-made plans for a deck.

You ever actually tried to follow one of those shortcuts all the way through? I used to think they were genius. I figured someone else already figured out the hard part so why not just copy it. Then I tried using a pre-made deck plan and realized it didn't fit my yard at all. The measurements were off and the instructions skipped steps. Now I just start with the basics and adjust as I go. It takes longer but at least I know it'll actually work.
