The bench at Lakeside Park in Madison taught me cozy games don't need goals
I sat on the same bench by the duck pond in Madison three Saturdays in a row and watched a guy play Animal Crossing for 90 minutes without ever opening his inventory. Everyone in this community keeps pushing checklist play, daily chores, efficiency farms, and it bugs me. He just walked around, talked to villagers, and fished when he felt like it, then closed the game when his coffee ran out. I think we ruined the whole point when we turned relaxing games into another job with deadlines. Does anyone else play with zero goals, or am I the only one tired of the to-do list mindset?
