TIL focusing on one fishing spot in Stardew Valley changed my whole rhythm
I kept jumping between the ocean and the mountain lake trying to catch everything, but a friend on the forum told me to just stick with the river near Marnie's ranch for a whole season. She said the carp and bullhead there respawn faster and it's way less stressful than running around... After trying it for 14 days in game, I actually started making more gold per hour and my farm didn't get neglected. Has anyone else found a spot that just clicks better for them?

That whole "hopping around" thing was me too until I stuck with the ocean in fall. The super cucumber and red snapper spawn so fast near the docks. I was able to fill my inventory in half a day without even trying. My farming actually got better too because I had more time to water crops before passing out.

Heard this same tip from a guy in a Stardew speedrunning Discord and he swore by the ocean in fall too. @jordanblack you're totally right about the super cucumber spawns being crazy near the docks, I've seen videos where people fill up before noon easily. Sticking to one spot really does save time for watering and other chores before the day ends.

Hell yeah, I read something similar in a gaming blog a while back. The guy who wrote it broke down the spawn rates for each location season by season, and the river near Marnie's was like the gold standard for spring. He said the bullhead and chub respawn every 10-15 game minutes if you don't move around too much, so you just cast and reel nonstop. I tried it for a week straight and my energy tanked way harder than I expected from running around, but the cash was solid.
