TIL you can pause time in Stardew Valley by opening your menu

I always rushed through my farm chores in Stardew Valley, barely making it to the mine before midnight. Then my buddy Steve told me to just open the menu when I needed a breather, and the clock freezes completely. Tried it last night while rearranging my sprinklers, and I finally had time to fish without panic. Changed my whole approach to planning my days. Anyone else use this trick or found other hidden pauses?.

Oh man, that's exactly it though! I mean, it's kind of funny how we just assume things have to be harder than they are, right? Like in real life I catch myself doing the same thing, rushing through stuff because I think there's some invisible timer ticking. But really, most of the time you can just take a breath and figure things out at your own pace. The game is basically teaching us that stopping to think is actually a good move, not a waste of time. I wish more things in life gave you that pause button honestly, would save a lot of unnecessary stress.

@parker183, that "stressing over farming" part is exactly why I love that the menu freezes time. It lets you actually plan your next move without enemies breathing down your neck. Makes the whole game feel slower and more thoughtful, not like a frantic mess.

Yeah I was the same way until I realized you can just pause and plan out your whole farm setup without anything happening. It made the game way less stressful once I stopped trying to rush everything.
