Bought a $30 dimmable lamp from Target and it changed how I read at night

I used to just use the overhead light in my living room to read. It was either too bright or not bright enough and my eyes would get tired after 20 minutes. Picked up a small clip-on reading lamp with a dimmer switch for 30 bucks. Now I can set it just right so the page is lit but the rest of the room stays dark and cozy. Anyone else find a cheap change like this made a big difference in their reading setup?

A dimmable lamp is a dimmable lamp, not a life changing event.

Ha, fair point @the_nathan. I used to totally think the same way. Cringed at people calling a lamp a game changer. But honestly, this one changed my mind for me. I grabbed a cheap dimmable lamp for my desk, thinking it was just a light. Then I realized how much I was squinting before, and how my eyes don't hurt at the end of the day now. It's dumb but it really does make a difference in how I feel. So yeah, maybe not life changing, but it definitely changed how I see those posts now.
