Just realized my reading nook smelled like old socks because I never washed the throw pillows

I was curled up with a book last Tuesday when my toddler dropped his juice cup behind the armchair and I finally noticed the musty smell that had been bugging me for 6 weeks, so I tossed all three pillows in the wash and now the whole corner actually feels cozy instead of just looking cozy - has anyone else discovered a hidden source of funk in their shelf space?

You also gotta figure what kind of room it is. Like a locked closet or a bedroom you already searched? Context matters with these stories.
