My thrifted reading chair needed a $9 fix, now it's my happy spot
Last month I found this lumpy armchair at a garage sale for $20, but it reeked of old smoke and the springs were shot. I almost gave up on it until my neighbor said to try a furniture repair kit with webbing straps, cost me $9 at the hardware store. Took about 2 hours on a Saturday to tighten the base, and then I sprayed it with a fabric refresher that actually worked. Now it sits in my corner with a fluffy blanket and a side table lamp, and I've read 3 books in it already this week. Anyone else turned a junk chair into their cozy reading throne on a budget?
