Serious question, did switching from a floor lamp to a $12 clip light make anyone else's nook way cozier?
I had a tall floor lamp in my reading corner for about 2 years and it always felt like a waiting room, bright and flat. Swapped it for a cheap clip light on the shelf above my chair and the difference is huge, the light pools down right on the pages and the rest of the corner stays dim and warm. Added a $9 amber bulb from the hardware store on 16th and now I actually sit there instead of the couch. What's your go to light setup for a small nook?
Man, yes! I did almost the same thing last winter. Had a floor lamp taking up space and lighting up the whole wall, swapped to a little clip light on my bookshelf and the corner instantly felt less like a dentist's office. I run a warm 2700k bulb in mine and point it at the wall a bit so it bounces soft light down instead of blasting me in the face. Best part is I can move the clip anywhere when I want to read in bed, so it does double duty.
