After I picked up that rusty brass lamp with the cracked shade at the Goodwill in Dayton for $6, I switched my whole corner to soft white bulbs, and it felt like a library in the best way, but my partner says it's too dim for reading and I'm starting to wonder if cozy means sacrificing function, so how do you balance the warm glow with actual page-turning visibility?
