Switched to a self-leveling crane mat on a tight downtown Boston site and it wrecked my setup time
I figured the self-leveling mat would save me from all the manual blocking adjustments on uneven ground. Instead it took me 45 minutes extra to get the outriggers set because the auto system kept overcorrecting. The ground crew ended up throwing their hands up and we went back to cribbing with oak timbers. Has anyone else had the auto levelers fight them on old city pavement?
