That job site in Phoenix where the wind nearly killed my boom truck
I was setting beams on a 4 story condo build outside Phoenix last August when a gust came out of nowhere. My load started swinging bad and I had to set it down fast before it hit the scaffolding. The safety guy came running over screaming at me about my wind limits. I told him the anemometer on site wasn't even reading over 15 mph. Ever since then I always keep a handheld wind meter in my cab and I double check it before every lift. Anyone else ever get blindsided by a microburst or weird wind pattern on a job?

Wind's always acting weird around buildings.

Totally. My patio umbrellas barely survive a year. @barbarah19, lattice idea sounds smart.

Oh yeah, I covered my patio with lattice and it helped a ton.
