TIL desert crane jobs can be a good change of pace
I just finished a contract setting up cranes for a mine in Utah. Most folks I talk to hate remote sites, but I liked the quiet and the challenge. What's your view on working far from cities?

My cousin did pipeline work out west and said the isolation drove him nuts after a while. But he saved up a ton of money living on site.

Worked a remote security job at a camp up north for six months once. Honestly, the pay was insane because I had zero expenses living there. But man, after a few weeks the quiet starts to feel heavy, like it's pressing on you. Tbh I came back with a full bank account and a totally fried brain.
