Vent: a 30 year guy at the yard said to boom down before swinging and it saved my load
Last Tuesday I was flying a bundle of rebar over a fence line at the site on Miller Rd when a guy with 30 years in the seat waved me off and said to boom down first before I swung, and I did it without thinking. Came back around and the tagline guy told me the bundle had shifted about a foot on the way over, so that extra clearance kept it from clipping the fence. How do you all decide when to boom down versus swing first on a tight pick, is it just feel at this point?
