Burned $60 on a 'plot twist generator' writing tool, total scam for prompt writers
Last Tuesday I saw an ad for this app that claimed to generate surprising plot twists from any prompt. I paid the $60 yearly fee thinking it would jumpstart my short story ideas. It just spat out generic stuff like 'the real villain was the friend all along,' which I could write myself in ten seconds. Then I realized my best twists came from just asking random people on this sub for their weirdest real-life moments. Has anyone else wasted cash on writing software that sounded cool but flopped harder than a first draft?
