That perfect writing day last Tuesday came out of nowhere

I sat down to write one prompt about a haunted laundromat and ended up cranking out 3,000 words before noon, which never happens. The story just clicked because the idea came from a real conversation I overheard at my local Suds and Duds. Has anyone else had a random prompt just grab you like that?

What exactly did you overhear at the laundromat? Was it a fight or just some weird small talk?

Oh boy, so I was there last Tuesday trying to get my favorite hoodie clean (stubborn coffee stain) and I heard this lady just laying into some poor guy about how he folded her towels wrong. Like, she was getting real specific about the right way to fold bath towels versus kitchen towels. It wasn't really a fight, more like a really intense tutorial on towel folding that nobody asked for. I kept my head down and pretended to be really interested in the spin cycle on my machine (you know, normal behavior).

Idk man, 3 out of 5 times I fold my own towels they end up looking like a sad, wrinkled mess. I would have probably just nodded along and asked her for folding tips, honestly.
