Broke my favorite mixing bowl mid-batch yesterday

I was mixing up a new batch of soap on Tuesday and my big glass mixing bowl just cracked right down the middle. I think it was from pouring hot lye water in too fast without letting it cool first. Had to scramble to find a stainless steel bowl I had buried in the back of a cabinet. Has anyone else had a piece of their collection break during use and had to figure out a backup plan fast?

Oh man, my buddy had his main coffee grinder die right before a big camping trip. He had to use a cheap blade grinder he found in the back of a drawer, and he said the coffee tasted like dirt. Total scramble.
