Can we talk about my grandmother's button tin and the 200 buttons I can't sort
I inherited my grandmother's old button tin in January, a rusty cookie tin packed with maybe 200 buttons she clipped off every shirt that wore out over 40 years. I finally sat down last Saturday to sort them by color and the bottom of the tin fell out, dumping them all over my carpet, and now I have a pile mixed with cat hair and I can't tell which flat brown ones go together. Does anyone else keep buttons from old clothes, and how in the world do you store them so this doesn't happen again?
