I finally changed how I hang my antique bottle collection after that earthquake scare in Sacramento
Back in March, we had that 4.2 tremor and I watched three of my old medicine bottles wobble on their shelf. They didn't break, but it hit me that I was one big shake away from losing 15 years of collecting. So I spent a weekend switching everything to museum putty and those clear acrylic display stands that lock the bases in place. Now every bottle has a little give instead of sitting rigid, which actually looks better too. I also moved the heavier pieces to lower shelves, which made the whole setup feel less top heavy. Has anyone else had to rethink their displays after a close call like that?
