Just counted my vintage bottle caps and hit exactly 1,000

It started with a few from my grandpa's garage and now I have a full shoebox. Part of me thinks I should stop here for a nice round number, but another part wants to keep hunting for rare ones. What would YOU do when you hit a big collection milestone like that?

Adamk95 is right about the fun being in the hunt. I hit 500 with my old key collection and stopped for a year. It just felt like a dead end. I started again and finding a weird skeleton key last month was way more fun than staring at a round number.

My uncle had a coin collection that stopped at 500 for the same reason, and it always felt like a paused story. I used to agree with capping it at a round number, but seeing his collection just gather dust made me change my mind. The fun is in the hunt, so I'd say keep going and let the next cool find decide when you're done. A full shoebox is awesome, but an overflowing one has its own charm lol.

Round numbers make a collection feel complete.
