Just realized my matchbox car collection is hiding a ton of history
I was sorting my old matchbox cars last Tuesday and noticed a tiny 'Lesney' stamp on a 1968 Ford Mustang, turns out that brand made some of the earliest die-cast toys in London. I looked it up online and found out some of these sell for over $300 at auction, which blew my mind since I paid 50 cents for this one at a garage sale. Anyone else ever discover a hidden value or story in a childhood collection they almost tossed?
