My aunt's coffee cup nearly destroyed a prized stamp from my collection

I had my stamp album out during a family visit last week. My aunt set her hot coffee cup right on top of it without thinking. I saw a wet ring start to form on the cover and panicked. Luckily, I grabbed a cloth and dabbed it dry fast. The stamp inside was okay, but it was a close call. Now I always keep my collectibles in a safe spot when guests are over. Please learn from my mistake and protect your stuff.

Man, do I feel this. My cousin once put a sweating soda can right on my old game box collection. Left a perfect ring on the cardboard that never came out. I nearly cried. Now anything paper or cardboard gets moved to a different room if people are hanging out. It's just not worth the heart attack.

Grab some clear plastic sleeves for those boxes... they're cheap and save you the stress. I keep a stack on hand for my own things. Learned that trick after a close call with a spilled drink.
