My 'limited edition' comic book collection is basically worthless now
I dropped over $2,000 on graded issues from the 90s speculator boom, thinking they'd fund my retirement. Anyone else get burned by a 'sure thing' collectible that tanked?

Remember Beanie Babies? I had a whole shelf of those things, convinced my Princess Diana bear was a gold mine. Now it's a sad little dust collector next to my Pogs and my collection of "rare" foil Magic cards from high school. It's like we all signed up for the same bad investment club where the only thing that appreciates is regret.

Oof, that speculator boom was brutal. So many "collector's editions" that nobody actually wants to collect now.
