Serious question, is collecting old magazines a waste of space?
I've kept every issue of my favorite comic from the 90s. Friends say I should scan them and toss the paper, but flipping through pages feels different. Back then, each crease and coffee stain added character. Now, everything is clean and perfect online, but it loses the charm. I guess I'm just stuck in my ways.

Those creases and stains are part of the story. Milesbailey is right about the regret. What do your shelves look like anyway?

But you see that everywhere now... people clinging to physical stuff in a digital world. Like my old baseball trophies in the garage, they're just dust collectors but throwing them out feels wrong. That nostalgic clutter just makes you smile when you walk past it.

Man, I totally get it. That physical feel is EVERYTHING. My advice is to scan the really valuable ones for a backup, but you have to keep the originals. I tried the "scan and toss" thing once and immediately regretted it. The space is worth it for the real thing.
