Shoe boxes ruined my sneaker collection, humidity did the rest
I kept 40 pairs in their original boxes for 2 years in Austin and found mold on 6 of them last month. Why do people swear by keeping boxes when breathable plastic bins and silica packs are clearly better, has anyone else lost pairs this way?

Cardboard pulls moisture right out of Austin air and feeds it to your shoes.
