Spent $150 on a special display case for my old fishing lures

I thought it would make my collection look sharp, but the cheap glass warped the light and made the colors look totally wrong. Ended up taking them all out and just putting them back on the simple wood shelves I made. Has anyone else bought something fancy that just made their stuff look worse?

Yeah, that weird ripple thing fiona985 mentioned. I had a buddy buy one of those "premium" cases that turned his whole screen green after a month in the sun. Like, his texts looked like they were from a swamp monster. He swore it was the anti-glare coating melting off. Total junk.

What kind of glass was it? I've seen that happen with some cheap acrylic cases, they get this weird ripple effect. Did it make the metallics look dull or just shift all the colors?
