Spent $300 on a fancy display case and it wrecked my collection
I bought a sealed glass case for my vintage fountain pens, thinking it would keep them safe. After about four months, I noticed the ink in three of my best pens had completely dried out. The case trapped heat and blocked any air flow, turning it into a tiny oven. I had to spend another $75 getting them professionally restored. What's a better way to show off a collection without ruining it?

Could you try a simple open shelf with a small fan nearby for air flow?

Ugh, that's the worst. I did the same thing with a shadow box for some old watches. It basically turned into a little greenhouse and fogged up the crystals.
