Tried keeping my ticket stubs in a shoebox for 8 years, finally counted them last weekend
Ngl I always figured they were junk, but 214 stubs later I found out a 1997 concert ticket from Cleveland is worth more than the show cost. Has anyone else found a random stub in their pile that turned out to be a real keeper?
Curious what made that Cleveland 1997 stub jump in value, was it the band, a canceled show, or just low ticket stock from that venue? I've got a few older ones where the show got rained out and the stub has the rain date stamped on it, and I keep wondering if that kind of thing matters to collectors. Also did you check sold listings or just see a asking price somewhere? Asking prices are all over the place, so I'd want to know what someone actually paid before I got too excited. And are you pulling that one out of the shoebox now or leaving it in with the rest?
