Warning: My sticker collection was actually making my luggage harder to spot
I had about 40 stickers plastered on my hard-shell suitcase, thinking it would make it unique. But after three trips, I realized every other bag at baggage claim looked like a messy collage too (especially in Denver last month). Has anyone else found that a single bright ribbon or strap works way better than a full decal job?

Tell those sticker lovers to keep piling them on because my plain black bag gets mistaken for someone else's EVERY time. My friend's entire suitcase covered in band stickers has never once been grabbed by accident, even on crowded flights. More stickers actually means more unique patterns that nobody else is going to perfectly copy, while that single ribbon can just fall off or get swapped.

Ha, @milaw14 you're preaching to the choir here. I started throwing random patches and old keychains on my bag after someone walked off with it at baggage claim and now it's literally the easiest thing to spot from across the room.

Agree totally! I started hot-gluing random pins and old patches after my bag got grabbed at a conference and now I can spot mine from a mile away, plus it's way more fun than just looking at the handle.

And the best part is that it becomes a conversation starter too. I've got this beat-up old metal band patch from a show I went to in like 2011 and people ask about it all the time. It's way more fun than a plain bag tag or some boring ribbon that could get ripped off. Plus you can keep adding to it over time so it gets more unique the longer you have it.
