2FA on my router stopped a smart TV attack last week
My Vizio started showing weird ads and buffering everything, so I logged into the router and saw 14 unknown devices connected. Turns out a neighbor's kid had guessed the default password, and enabling 2FA on the admin panel locked them out in 10 minutes. Anyone else check their connected devices list on a regular schedule?

People rarely look at the devices on their network unless something breaks, and even then most just blame the ISP. It's funny how we lock our front doors but leave the digital door wide open with factory passwords. The same neighbor-kid scenario plays out everywhere, from routers to smart locks to baby monitors. Checking that list monthly takes five minutes but nobody does it until it's too late. Guess that's just how we roll with tech these days.
