Chose a password manager over remembering 40 logins, best decision I made this year

I used to have a mental system (bad idea, I know) where each site got a variation of the same base password. Then last month my bank flagged a login attempt from a country I've never visited. That freaked me out enough to finally sit down with Bitwarden and migrate everything over a weekend. Took about 6 hours total because I had to reset half my accounts, but now I use 20+ character random passwords and don't have to remember any of them. My only regret is not doing this back in 2019 when my old email got hacked. Has anyone else resisted password managers for years and then had a moment that pushed you over the edge?

Hated the idea for years, thought it was lazy and that everyone should just memorize their passwords like we did in the old days. Then I lost my phone with my note app that had my whole "system" and I was locked out of basically everything for a week. That was my wake up call. Now I use a password manager too and it honestly feels like a weight off my shoulders. I get why everyone kept telling me to do it. The random passwords are a pain to type on a new device but that's way better than getting hacked. Good on you for finally making the switch, better late than never.
