Coffee shop free wifi vs my VPN, which side are you on?
I sat in a downtown Seattle cafe for 2 hours last Tuesday and watched at least 6 people log into their bank apps on the open network. The owner told me they've never had an issue in 5 years, so they don't see why they'd add a password. Is trusting a busy public hotspot really that risky, or are we just paranoid when most attacks need way more targeting than that?
