Hot take: that $200 password manager subscription was a complete waste

Signed up for Dashlane's premium plan for a year thinking it'd be a lifesaver. Instead I spent more time fighting with autofill glitches on Chrome and Safari than I did just typing my passwords myself. Lost about $180 after canceling 8 months in because I couldn't get a prorated refund. Anyone else find these paid managers more hassle than they're worth?

Oh @lucasschmidt is SO right about the nightmare part. I had the same thing happen with mine - it just refused to autofill one day for NO reason. Now I keep a backup list of my MOST important logins in a plain text file on my phone, you know, just in case.

Wait, which password manager locked you out? That sounds like a NIGHTMARE. Was it the one that stores everything locally and you just lost the master password or was it some cloud sync issue? I swear, these apps make you feel safe until they randomly decide you are not who you say you are.
