I found this stat in a report from the Verizon Data Breach Investigations team and it made me double-check all my own passwords immediately, anyone else get that same 'oh crap' feeling?

That "oh crap" feeling is exactly right. I used to picture hackers as these movie-style geniuses typing in dark rooms. But seeing that 80% number, it clicked. Most of the time it's just someone reusing their "Password123" on a sketchy site that gets leaked. It's not about breaking complex locks, it's about walking through an open door. Actually, that 80% figure is for weak or reused passwords, not just reused ones. The open door is usually a bit wider than we think.
