My buddy's one password for everything put me in a tight spot

I was helping a pal set up his new gaming system last week. He logged into his email on my laptop, and I saw he used the exact same password for his email, social media, and even his bank account. It hit me right away how dangerous that was. I felt stuck between telling him and staying quiet to avoid drama. If I spoke up, he might think I was prying into his business. But if I didn't, he could lose all his money to a simple hack. I finally mentioned how I use a password manager and offered to help him set one up. He was cool about it and actually thanked me later. That whole thing showed me that sometimes you gotta risk a little awkwardness to help someone stay safe online.

Read an article about how reusing passwords is like using one key for your house, car, and bank. Makes you realize how right you were to say something.

That comparison about one key for everything really hits home. I've had friends get locked out of their email because they reused passwords. Imagine if your social media, shopping, and bank all used the same login. A breach on one site means they ALL go down. It's a PAIN to remember different passwords, but it's so necessary. Glad you're spreading the word on this.

Password managers are a LIFEsaver for this exact problem. They generate and store unique passwords so you only need to remember one master key. It's a small change that makes your whole online life WAY more secure.
